Help with using this site


Hopefully, you will find using this site pretty straight forward, but here are a few tips:

The frame or panel on the left is the site outline. It serves as a menu for all the major pages on the site.
To see what's under a heading, click on that heading. A list of pages available will appear. To go to those pages, simply click on the page name.

Below the outline is a panel with four icons in it.
These icons do the following:

Expand Outline.
Clicking this will reveal all the pages available from the outline

Collapse Outline.
Clicking this will collapse all the pages in the outline down to their headings

Help.
Clicking here brings you to this page!

Home.
Clicking here will return the site to the home page.

PayPal:

PayPal is used exclusively as our online payment method. It is a safe, secure and an easy way for us to collect money via credit card and PayPal transfers. All PayPal transactions use secure encryption to ensure you details are safe.

Membership: We use a shopping cart system to allow visitors to pay for membership, purchase books and make donations all from the membership page. When you click the add to cart button next to any of the items you will be taken to another window where it shows the shopping cart contents. Here you can view the contents of the list of purchases selected. If you wish to continue shopping either click the button or simply switch back to the still open membership page. Each time you add another item you are brought back to the PayPal page to review the items. You will notice there is an option to remove items you have selected by ticking the appropriate box in the Remove column and clicking the update cart button. You can also change the quantity of any items by changing the number and also clicking the update button.

Once you have finished adding items, either click on the view basket button if in the membership page, or if in the PayPal page click on the proceed to checkout button. At this point you are asked to either log in if you wish to pay from an existing PayPal account, or if you wish to pay by credit card and/or do not have a payPal account simply click the Continue link where it displays the following:

From there you will be presented with a form to enter your details and credit card information. At the top you will see a downward arrow - by click it you will be shown more details about the items you have purchased.

Once entered click the "Review order and continue" button. You will be given the opportunity to review your information and finally be returned to our website upon completion.


Donations: On some pages we have a separate make a donation button. This allows visitors to the website to easily make a donation to the Australian Addison's Disease Association Inc at any time. Donations over $2.00 are tax deductible inside Australia. When you click on the button you are taken to the PayPal website where you can enter in the amount you wish to donate in the are provided under "Unit Price". At this point you are asked to either log in if you wish to pay from an existing PayPal account, or if you wish to pay by credit card and/or do not have a payPal account simply click the link where it displays the following:

From here you will be presented with a form to enter your details and credit card information. At the top you will see an Arrow - by click it you will be shown more details about the items you have purchased. Once entered click the "Review order and continue" button. You will be given the opportunity to review your information and finally be returned to our website upon completion.

 


Other Known Problems:

Note: There is a known bug in Internet Explorer 4 that MAY cause the error:

Due to security restrictions imposed by your browser, I cannot change modes while a page from another server is being displayed. The default home page for this site will be displayed instead.

even when the displayed page is not from another server. This problem is caused by a bug in Internet Explorer which you can fix this problem by downloading and installing Service Pack 1 from the Microsoft Web Site, or upgrading to Internet Explorer 4.01.

Netscape Navigator ver 2 & 3 may also not function correctly. It's probably time you updated your browser anyway!
